i didn't know the watchtower had that on facebook .

?.
This page has 69,200 likes! Active witnesses comment on it and I just received an invite from a witness who doesn't know we've faded.
I'm perplexed. Is this an actual witness running the site? The new Bible was announced, with a photo pretty early this weekend.
There's a comment under a recent post that "rank and file" Is a corporate term that doesn't apply to witnesses. Pretty sure I read that this was used in court case documents. I'm looking now, but it might be a good time to make some comments on this site, NOT angry ones though.
for people who have a paralyzing fear of dying, to where it seems like it's this horrible, stalking monster, jwism is a powerful sedative.. but really, the idea of living forever, in human form, is nonsense.
living forever isn't about living forever, it's about not dying.. death is natural.
it can be painful, sudden, or both.
Mortality by Hitchens is a very small booK that is not argumentative or combative. It's simply him coming to terms with his illness and the acceptance of life ending. It struck a cord with me because I haven't had anyone I was close to pass away until a couple years ago. Without giving away too much, there was someone in my world diagnosed with breast cancer as a young mother. Upon the third return it was found in her liver, stage 4. I was in complete denial up until the end. Reading Hitchens book opened my eyes to how much more helpful I could have been in the situation, by accepting the inevitable instead of exhaustingly fighting nature.
Oddly enough, my teen, who was extremely affected by this persons death, found no comfort in the resurrection hope. While that was startling to me at first, now I understand why she felt that way.

Reading Mortality, by Hitchens, was huge for me. I only wished I'd read it earlier and developed a more realistic, accepting approach when I was dealing with someone in my world dying from cancer. Accepting the inevitable it freeing.
people are already posting pictures of the new bible and the meeting... in jw sites!!
that goes to show, most don't really listen to the gb... gb is losing its grip!!.
=).
Ha ha, no kidding! The Facebook group Jehovah's Witnesses news, library, history, which has 69,000 likes was way ahead in posting. JW's keep commenting abut how the site is being disobedient. Love it!
first 30 min announcing a collection of bibles collected from r & f that is to go on display at bethel.

You guys and girls are awesome! I wish I could have all of you for a party.
to the women out there that have been honoured with an invitation this is the question they ask themself.. .
i am going to admit one of the reasons i enjoyed the meetings was getting to dress up.
how many women out there found the meetings an excuse to dress up.
Jake, those bottom pictures look like they were taken from Miami congregations I've visited. The "rules" sure are different in Florida, for JW dress :)
Jgnat, my circuit had quite a few mothers that kept that look going, at every single meeting.
Sherrie, looking forward to your take on the meeting.
